Dunkin' Donuts experienced a relatively flat financial term last year, with its same-store sales increasing only 0.6% compared to 2016, according to the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call Feb. 8. David Hoffman, president of Dunkin’ Donuts United States and Canada, said on the call that the Canton, Mass.-based company is making headway to “boost menu innovation” in an effort to improve sales in 2018.

Here’s a look at the chain’s new menu items so far this year …

Double Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

Tony Weisman, Dunkin’ Donuts' chief marketing officer, called the Double Sausage Breakfast Sandwich “a new twist” on a traditional item. The sandwich features a double stack of sausage with egg and cheese on a toasted bagel.

Dunkin' Donuts offers both sweet and spicy notes with its Brown Sugar Chipotle Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, succeeding its recent pepper and maplesugar bacon-based offerings. The sandwich comes on a croissant with caramelized brown sugar chipotle bacon, egg and cheese. Consumers can also order the item as a Wake-Up Wrap, replacing the croissant with a flour tortilla.

Spring Fling Donuts and Munchkins

In a partnership with the Girl Scouts of the USA, Dunkin’ now has coffee selections inspired by three of the organization’s cookie flavors: Thin Mints, the classic cookie flavor of cool mint and chocolate; Coconut Caramel, a combo of toasted coconut and caramel; and Peanut Butter Cookie, the brand’s first-ever peanut-butter-flavored coffee. All three flavors are available through May in the chain’s roster of hot or iced coffees, lattes, macchiatos, frozen coffee and frozen chocolate.
